I was in pain day and night for 1 year and 4 months, busy with my career ending and looking forward to my next phase, retirement. It had gotten to the point where I could not lay down at night and sleep without pain and I had developed a limp when I walked. I was in terrible pain! A family member shared; I should see Dr. Jonathan Isbell. Contacted Southlake Orthopaedics and immediately given an appointment. Meeting Dr. Isbell and sharing with him, he immediately began the process to get me going with less pain. I shared with him, I am retiring, and have a trip planned with family to New York to celebrate the milestone. He assured me I will get you ready for the BIG trip. He diagnosed me with a labral tear of the hip. He first approached my condition with conservative treatment, when those measures did not work, he suggested I undergo surgery to correct the problem. Immediately, post-surgery, the pain I had been experiencing for over 1 year, was gone. He and his team were very receptive to me when I began to suffer post-anesthesia side effects and unwanted effects of pain medication, they instantly addressed the situation, and I was on my road to recovery. He explained everything to me. My rehabilitation went great from surgery. I could not have asked for a better experience to get myself relieved of this pain and being able to walk without a limp and rest throughout the night without the need for pain relief. I thank Dr. Isbell with all my heart! I tell everyone I know about him and what a great doctor he is and his excellent bedside manner. My girls and I had the best time ever in April riding bikes in NYC!
